This is a perfect piece of jewellery for any book lover, and especially all those who are fans of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland whether they are familiar with the original book or have met Alice through one of the many film adaptations.
Using paper taken from an old copy of Alice's adventures in Wonderland to add that extra touch of authenticity, this kilt style brooch pin features three familiar images from the book, the White Rabbit's fan, the Cheshire Cat and his smile and one of the roses that has yet to be painted red by the playing cards soldiers. Each of these individual charms has been meticulously hand folded using the traditional Japanese art of origami and then finished with several coats of varnish to add strength, shine, durability and water resistance. Due to the methods used, (hand folding and shaping the rose and hand drawing the Cheshire Cats' smile) each one of these brooches will be unique.

The brooch measures 5 cm (2 inches) in length and a drop of  4 - 5 cm (1 3/4 to 2 inches).
Each of the paper elements has been carefully finished with several coats of top quality waterproof varnish. This adds strength, durability and water resistance although these elements are not guaranteed to be waterproof.
The brooch will come in a kraft paper envelope tied around with jute ribbon or raffia packed inside a postal approved cardboard box.
